Story metadata¶
This example story is part of the SHMARQL documentation. It demonstrates the Story Metadata Special Node. To open it as an editable project, download story-metadata.lodeon.zip and import it in the story editor (/lodeon/ → Import).
Every project has metadata, edited in the metadata panel on the left of the editor: slug, description, keywords, language, licence, contributors (with roles, affiliation and identifiers such as ORCID) and persistent identifiers. SHMARQL always puts it into the page head (HTML meta tags, Open Graph and schema.org JSON-LD). The Story Metadata node shows it visibly in the story as well:
The contributor uses ORCID's own fictional example researcher, and the DOI uses the Crossref test prefix 10.5555, so neither points at a real person or publication.
Try it in the editor:
- Add yourself as a contributor in the metadata panel and watch the tile update.
- Look at the page source of the published story for the
<meta>tags and the JSON-LD.
